The Lexus LS 12.3 CarPlay decoder kit adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to 2013-2023 Lexus LS, LS460 and LS500 vehicles that already have the original factory 12.3-inch screen. Instead of replacing the OEM display, this decoder module connects behind the dashboard and keeps the factory-style cabin layout.
Because Lexus LS screen systems changed across these years, the correct version depends on the controller, screen layout and GVIF connector. For example, 2013-2017 half-screen vehicles use Green GVIF with Big Blue Head, while 2018-2023 LS500 full-screen vehicles use Purple GVIF with Small Blue Head. Therefore, we confirm the screen photo and VIN before shipment.
2013-2014 LS half-screen setup: Choose this version for joystick vehicles with 12.3-inch half screen, DIP 5.7, Green GVIF interface, Big Blue Head connector and Plug & Play installation.
2015-2017 LS460 half-screen setup: Select this option when your LS460 uses joystick control, 12.3-inch half screen, DIP 5.7, Green GVIF interface and Big Blue Head connector.
2018-2020 LS500 full-screen setup: This matched version is for large touchpad vehicles with 12.3-inch full screen, DIP 4.6, Purple GVIF interface and Small Blue Head connector.
2021-2023 LS500 full-screen setup: Later LS500 vehicles also use the large touchpad, 12.3-inch full-screen layout, DIP 4.6, Purple GVIF interface and Small Blue Head connector.
This interface kit installs behind the factory display area and works with the original Lexus LS 12.3-inch screen system. In most cases, the factory screen, dashboard trim and interior layout remain in place.
Professional installation is recommended because LS screen systems vary by model year, controller style and GVIF connector. As a result, confirming the screen and controller before shipment helps avoid wrong-version orders and installation delays.
Your Lexus LS already has a refined factory cabin. With the correct decoder module interface kit, you can add modern wireless CarPlay and Android Auto while keeping the OEM screen and original dashboard design.
Questions? Send us your center-screen photo, controller photo and VIN before ordering. We will help confirm the correct Lexus LS 12.3 CarPlay decoder kit for your vehicle.

The key is to either get a professional to install it for you, or follow a YouTube installation guide step by step.
Overall it’s absolutely amazing, easily a solid 10/10.
If you own a Lexus and want to add CarPlay, this is definitely the one to buy.
Just make sure you double-check your screen type first — full screen vs half screen, and whether your system uses a mouse controller or touchscreen. These details really make a difference for compatibility.
I got the unit installed, but right away I had an issue the factory joystick wouldn’t work at all. Thankfully, their technical support helped me fix it and get everything running properly.
That said, the overall joystick performance still feels a bit laggy and not as smooth as I expected, which was a little disappointing.
