This adapter works through the vehicle’s original factory wired Apple CarPlay USB or USB-C connection. Therefore, it is intended for vehicles whose original infotainment system already supports wired CarPlay and has a compatible data-capable port.

Suitable when

The original vehicle screen supports factory wired Apple CarPlay.
The factory USB or USB-C port supports data transfer.
Your phone and operating system support CarPlay or Android Auto.

Not suitable when

The vehicle has no original factory wired Apple CarPlay.
The original screen has been replaced by an incompatible aftermarket head unit.
The USB port provides charging only and does not support data.
