Audi MMI 2G 3G MIB CarPlay Decoder Module adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to qualifying Audi vehicles with the original MMI colour display. The module keeps the factory screen and MMI head unit in place, so you can add smartphone connectivity without changing the original dashboard design.
Match the system before the model: Audi fitted different MMI generations, screen sizes and connector layouts to the same model family. Therefore, use the original MMI main menu and screen configuration to select the correct kit—not the vehicle name alone.

Keep the original 5.8-inch, 6.3-inch, 7-inch or 8-inch MMI display where the selected factory system supports it.

A SYSTEM-SPECIFIC OEM UPGRADE
The original MMI interface stays at the centre of the experience.
First, the module works with the original factory MMI display and head unit. Then, it connects a compatible phone to that existing system. As a result, you can use supported navigation, music, podcast, calling and messaging functions without fitting an aftermarket replacement screen.
Meanwhile, the original Audi interface remains available for factory media, vehicle menus and settings. You can move between smartphone functions and the original MMI system as needed. Consequently, the upgrade adds convenience while the vehicle keeps its familiar OEM look and operating logic.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH
Do not use this kit with factory Apple CarPlay, MIB3 systems, MMI Touch Response systems, basic monochrome displays, Concert or Chorus radio systems without a central colour MMI display, or aftermarket Android replacement screens. Audi R8, Audi TT and Virtual Cockpit-only configurations without a central MMI screen also do not fit.
