Porsche CDR 3.0 CarPlay Decoder Module adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to qualifying Porsche vehicles with the original CDR 3.0 audio system. It keeps the original 6.5-inch display and factory head unit in place, so you can add current smartphone functions without replacing the dashboard equipment.
System identification comes first: This product only fits the original CDR 3.0 unit. Confirm the head unit before ordering: it should have CD / AUX / SAT buttons and should not have NAVI / MAP buttons.
OEM AUDIO SYSTEM, MODERN PHONE ACCESS
Keep the factory character of the cabin. Add the functions your phone already knows.
First, the module keeps the original CDR 3.0 head unit and 6.5-inch colour display in the vehicle. Then, it connects a compatible iPhone or Android phone to the factory screen. As a result, drivers can access supported smartphone navigation, music, calls and messaging functions without replacing the original Porsche interface.
Meanwhile, the original radio, CD, AUX and vehicle functions remain available through the factory system. You can switch between the smartphone interface and the original CDR display as required. Therefore, the upgrade complements the original cabin instead of making it look aftermarket.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH
Do not use this kit with 2009 and earlier Porsche CDR 2.1 systems, Porsche PCM navigation systems such as PCM 3.0 / 3.1 / 4.0, or any factory unit with NAVI / MAP buttons.
It also does not fit CDR 3.1 or CDR 4.0 systems, aftermarket replacement touchscreens or non-OEM audio installations. Early 2010 and later 2015+ vehicles require extra CDR-version confirmation.
